Product Information

Our jewelry is designed and crafted to order on Jeweler's Row in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our pieces are made exclusively from recycled sterling silver, 18k yellow gold, 14k rose gold, and platinum.

Simply put, we choose the metals that best capture our nautical knots. 18k yellow gold contains a larger gold to alloy ratio, which creates a lustrous piece with a deeper, richer hue than 14k yellow gold. 14k rose gold provides a brighter color with a stronger pink hue than 18k rose gold.

If you prefer 14k yellow gold or 18k rose gold, please email support@preciousknots.com and we will happily fulfill your wishes!

Sizing

Precious Knots uses standard US ring sizes and half sizes. For international size conversion, please visit http://www.ringsizes.co.

Yes! We can make a variety of customizations, like crafting half-size rings and adjusting necklace lengths.

Please email us at info@preciousknots.com to inquire about a specific customization.

Jewelry Care

To clean your Sterling Silver jewelry, use a mixture of warm water and mild soap, like gentle hand soap. Soak your items in the solution for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse them in warm water. To dry the jewelry, use a microfiber cloth or other soft towel, not a tissue or other paper material that can cause scratches.

The best way to keep your PK jewelry tarnish-free is to wear it! When Sterling Silver jewelry sits for a long period, reactions with the air lead to tarnishing. Cosmetics, water, and humidity also lead to tarnishing, so removing your jewelry for short periods, like while cleaning or swimming, also helps to prevent tarnish. If you need to store your Sterling Silver jewelry for an extended time, place it in a bag with the air removed and keep it somewhere cool and dry.

Our blend of metal alloys is designed to minimize this, but tarnish happens!

There are many DIY approaches to removing tarnish, but our favorite is baking soda paste. Mix two parts baking soda with one part water to form a paste, and then gently rub the paste onto the jewelry. This acts as an abrasive to remove the tarnish. Let the paste dry, and then rise it off completely. Gently dry with a soft cloth or microfiber towel to avoid scratching.

For less messy tarnish removal, we offer special polishing cloths. These reusable cloths contain micro-abrasives that quickly clean and brighten jewelry. They are perfect for traveling and quick tarnish removal!
